Welcome

Green Dragon Tavern & Museum is proud to invite you to join the revolution! A stunning 22,000 sq. ft. replica of Boston's original Green Dragon Tavern, demolished in 1854, where our Sam Adams, Paul Revere and other founders met in secret and planned the Boston Tea Party and the American Revolution. Paul Revere departed the Green Dragon Tavern for his famous ride to Lexington and Concord notifying Patriots on "One if by land, two if by sea". Whether touring our museum, cherishing an intimate celebration for two, meeting to plan your company's next revolutionary concept in secret, or hosting a banquet for 150 or more in our event space, a revolutionary dining experience awaits you.

Tour our free admission museum! Operated by our recognized 501c3 charitable foundation, our museum's mission is to promote and celebrate our country's heritage and reconnect our guests with the life events and contributions of our founders. We appreciate that many who visit our museum may not have the time or resources to travel to the east coast to experience our country's early architecture, artifacts and culture where they are easily accessible. Our goal is to provide a tangible space that can offer a glimpse into that experience on the West Coast. What better place than Carlsbad and San Diego where we hope being known for sun, surf and American history will catch on! Focused on the contributions of our founders during colonial-American history, our museum and educational exhibits feature authentic original documents from the eras and reconnect our guests with the life, times and still prevalent innovations and perspectives of those who shaped our great country. Our guests enjoy touring our corridors and museum with a glass of their favorite craft beer or wine. Families cherish the opportunity to transform a dinner out with a fun educational opportunity for their children. Museum tours for schools and large parties are available. Please contact us for more information.
